March 2010 Newsletter - ContestThe Place I Come From Seventh Generation Club Science DayAttention all scientists!!!! Indulge your curiosity for the world around you and your enthusiasm for science by joining in the fun with your teacher and classmates.The Seventh Generation Club Annual Science Day is scheduled for November 13, 2009. If this date is inconvenient for your club, choose another day and you will still be able to participate. Simply let us know (email, fax, or phone) that you will be holding a science day and we’ll send you some of our science experiment books and a few items that you can give away as prizes. We want to include the fun of science day on our webpage and in our newsletter, so please don’t forget to send us pictures (photo release form), drawings and stories of you and your fellow student-scientists at work. Gathering Our Voices 2010 - Provincial Aboriginal Youth Conference - March 10-13, 2010This conference will attract over 1000 Aboriginal youth from across both BC and Canada. This year the chosen theme is “Our Health and the Environment”, and is reflected in 30+ workshops, a 40 booth Health and Education Fair, Cultural and Recreational Activities, Evening Events and Motivational Speakers. Mark June 11, 2010 on your calendars! The Seventh Generation Club encourages all First Nations schools to hold Sports Day on the same day each year to promote exercise, healthy living and pride in our schools. If June 11th is inconvenient for your school, choose another day and you will still be able to participate. Watch for details here.
